Trading Atoms is a site dedicated to coercing Science out of the lab and helping it make friends with the rest of the world. Sure, it can be a bit tongue-tied and socially awkward, but it’s really very friendly and interesting once you get to know it, we promise. All things quirky, complex and unintuitive are what you’re likely to find here.

As for the name, we’re all constantly breathing in or eating atoms that used to belong to other living creatures, building them into ourselves, and giving away atoms in return. So keep being excellent, you beautiful ever-changing empire of atoms.
